My homemade Birthday Lemon Meringue Cake! (yep that's right, yummy cake, not pie)

I'm pretty loose about birthdays but there's one thing I'm absolutely adamant about: the birthday cake. I don't consider a birthday to be official without one, so having a homemade one was literally...icing on the cake.

I say again, ISO 6400!!! This is a 100% crop, straight from the camera JPEG, no editing. Look at the detail of the fur! Excuse me while I totally geek out!!!

It's so great to have a camera that gives you so much freedom. I going have fun learning how to use exisiting light in all of my photos.
